Dr. Nirmal Madhavan, a seasoned international research scientist and passionate mentor, has guided over 1,000 students toward making the right choices in education and career globally. Through his initiative on nutruting Indian International Researchers via the PhD PDF Scholarship and podcast sessions (https://www.youtube.com/@phd_pdfscholarship) , he offers counseling and provides opportunities for students to connect with industry experts, professors, and scientific communities worldwide.
With a strong academic foundation, including a Ph.D. from Australia in collaboration with Tata Steel Netherlands and a masters degree from IIT, Dr. Madhavan brings unparalleled expertise and insight to career counseling. He has worked on prestigious projects with organizations such as Tata Steel Netherlands, the Indian Navy - Scorpene Class Submarine (Ministry of Defense), AirBus Aerospace- France and is currently a leading scientist in a European green research organization.

I had a really great experience with Dr. Madhavan! He helped me understand my strengths, gave me a clearer direction for my future and showed me possible areas of improvement. He motivated me to look beyond the path I had already decided on. I went into the session thinking forensic psychology was my only option, but he helped me realise that forensic science might actually be an even better fit for my strengths and interests. I left feeling a lot more confident and excited about my future. I’m really glad I took this session! Highly recommend ????

I recently took a career guidance session with Carristra and it was amazing. I had two sessions both 1.5hrs long. It was an enlightening experience for me personally and I got the clarity with regards to my career post the session. The reports generated were all top notch and helped me understand my strengths and shortcomings. I had some many questions before I started the session and the sessions gave me answers to almost all of my questions and doubts: I would definitely recommend Carristra to anyone seeking career guidance or anyone who feels lost professionally. I hve been exploring a lot of options after my PCM and kept going back and forth, especially across engineering and design fields. The session helped me cut through that confusion. The assessment was spot on about how I think practical, logical, and good with visualising things and it matched that to fields Am actually drawn to like industrial design, architecture and AI. What I liked most was that nothing felt random; every recommendation came with a reason. The counselor was patient and made the whole thing feel personal rather than like a standard report. I left with a much clearer shortlist and a lot less stress about deciding. Thank you Caristrra.
